Funded by the Open Society Foundation, IWES recently launched Communities Against Hate (CAH), a rapid response initiative to alleviate youth trauma in the post-election aftermath. Partnering with schools and other community-based organizations, the program provides crisis intervention and anti-bullying activities including, 1) crisis response mental health services, 2) professional development and training for school administration and staff, and 3) promoting a city-wide public will campaign to harness more compassionate attitudes toward youth and their families, #WeThe504!
